'12 Dry Gewurztraminer
We sourced our Gewürztraminer from Stipp Lane Vineyard, a small family vineyard nestled on an alluvial fan between Ukiah and Boonville in Mendocino County. Wide temperature spreads – with daily highs and lows varying up to 50°F - keep acid levels, sugars and flavor in balance.
Our Gewürztraminer was fermented to dryness and aged sur lie in 40% neutral French Oak to add texture and richness and 60% stainless steel to preserve the fruit character and crisp acidity of the wine.
Intense aromas of bougainvillea and honey blossom fill the nose. On the palate flavors of fresh lychee and meyer lemon flavors are accented by a hint of clove spice. The lush fruit flavors lead to a dry, crisp finish. Pair this wine with spicy Asian dishes or our Gary & Kit's Napa Valley Toasted Coconut & Cashew nut mix.
