'12 Viognier

Vineyard & Winemaking
The fruit for our first release of Viognier comes from a vineyard in Lake County farmed by Dave Rosenthal. The vineyard was planted in 2005 on deep jafa soils that are formed from alluvial sediments. These soils are good for growing Rhone varietals such as Viognier.  The wine was fermented in stainless steel and aged in neutral oak barrels.

Tasting Notes
Aromas of white peach, citrus and a slight minerality comingle with flavors of fresh papaya, guava, pineapple and lemon zest. The wine has a lush mouth feel and bright, mouthwatering acidity.
