'12 Rte Blanc
The fruit for our Sauvignon Blanc comes from a small vineyard located at the end of Fulton Lane in St. Helena. The vineyard has been owned and farmed by the Amendola family for over thirty years. A total of 11 tons were harvested from the vineyard.
The grapes were handpicked early in the morning of September 19th and received in the cellar where they were passed through a gentle whole cluster press and then cold settled. The wine was placed in stainless steel tanks for 5 months and bottled at the end of February. The result is the fruit forward style of Sauvignon Blanc that Rte Blanc has become known for.
A fruit forward Sauvignon Blanc with lingering tropical aromas of pineapple, guava and passion fruit complimented by flavors of honeydew, grapefruit and a hint of lemon zest. This is a juicy and intense Sauvignon Blanc with a crisp finish.
